I am always a snacker and now that I am pregnant having tasty, nutritious snacks handy is a must! I recently discovered Bellybar which is the perfect solution to snacking for pregnant women, nursing mothers and those that may be trying to conceive.
Bellybar makes a variety of yummy bars, chews and shakes that are packed with the goodness that your body needs when it when it is working hard! Bellybar products contain folic acid, iron, calcium, protein and Omega-3 DHA! These are a great supplement to an already healthy diet to make sure that your baby is getting everything he or she needs! 
I had the opportunity to try several flavors of Bellybar bars including Mellow Oat, Baby Needs Chocolate, Berry Nutty Cravings and Burstin’ Chocolate. I of course jumped in and tried the Baby Needs Chocolate bar right away. Let’s face it, momma needs chocolate too! I love that these bars have a little bit of crunch, a little bit of sweetness and a yummy smooth layer. They are the perfect snack and they gave me the chocolate fix that I need to make it through the day at work!
Each bar has 170-180 calories and 4-6 grams of fat. Since they are packed with protein (8 grams per bar) they stick with you so you won’t be looking for another snack in an hour or two.
I also had the chance to try the Bellybar Chocolate Cuddles and Citrus on Board Chews. These chews are small enough to pop in your mouth in a bite or two if you are on the run. They are perfect for a quick pick me up. Both flavors are a little bit sweet but not too sweet. I love the chewiness and the flavors are great! Each one only contains 20 calories so you don’t have to feel bad about them.
Bellybar also makes shakes. These come in two varieties-Vanilla Dreams and Due for Chocolate. These rich, creamy shakes contain 4-5 grams of fat, 180 calories and 8 grams of protein. They are perfect for moms on the go!
I have been so happy with Bellybar. These are great, healthy snacks and I love that they are designed specifically for pregnant and nursing moms. They are all really tasty and they fill you up and keep you going! I know I will be buying them again!
